In April, 2026, Haywood Community College officially received its . As a , 51ÁÔÆæ is committed to sustaining and building upon the criteria needed to retain this level of recognition.

Today, the arboretum on campus continues to serve as both an inspirational landscape for the community and a living laboratory for the curricula offered on campus. The arboretum is woven into a broader network of hiking trails, a disc golf course, and an art trail that welcome visitors to explore the grounds.

The hardworking team at 51ÁÔÆæ will continue to develop the arboretum and cultivate the necessary plant life and events.

To encourage visitors to campus, a variety of guided walking tours have been established. These events are free and open to the public.
